What the Research Says

We love good data as much as anyone! While we ‘know what we know’ based on experience, it’s always a good reminder we are on the right track when the research supports our perspective. A recent article in Tech Insider, entitled Science says parents of successful kids have these 13 things in common, by Rachel Gillet and Drake Baer, dives into the data around success factors for kids as they transition into adulthood. What we like about this article is that it takes information derived from a number of large scale studies and puts it all in one place. It’s hard to argue with the stats but take from it what you will. We are particularly fond of factor number 13 – Grit! It’s a great to see ‘resilience’ represented this way.
